Viaggio pasta is made using 100% pure durum semolina wheat grown on the beautiful island of Sardinia where fresh water and nourishing grains abound, this pasta embodies the love and passion for good food so strongly rooted in the Italian culture. Bowties, also know as "farfalle" (butterflies in Italian), due to a distinct shape forged from short rectangle pasta, with two of the sides trimmed to a ruffled edge and pinched at the center. Though usable with most sauces, bowties are best suited to cream and tomato sauces as well as cold pasta dishes.
